Event Skill Development - Youth 2023-24
The Tale of ‘Baat Ban Jaaye’
Keeping in line with the youthful vibe of MPF youth members and the perpetual eagerness to learn, MPF Youth organized a skill development workshop. The objective of the workshop was to learn something new as a group, interact with one another and make memories.
The ‘Baat Ban Jaaye’ workshop was held on 16th July 2023 at Utsav Sabhagruha, Pune. Mr. Deepak Mundada designed the workshop curriculum to help youth members develop their communication skills. A soft skill essential to help an individual communicate effectively, listen actively, and empathize with others in both personal and professional spheres.
Mr. Deepak Mundada is the founder and director of NMS Global Communications Pvt. Ltd. He specializes in business consulting, coaching, and behavioral training. He is also a corporate trainer in sales, soft skills and leadership. He has conducted over 1,200 training programs with over 40,000 participants.
The workshop was organized under the leadership of Skill Development Director – Soniya Karwa and the Chairperson – Priyal Bhattad. The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, and many even expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from an industry expert like Mr. Mundada, whose wealth of experience enriched the workshop.
The workshop started with a play from the Skill Development team, which portrayed how ineffective communication or miscommunication causes problems among family members, friends, and office colleagues. The drama was followed by an ice-breaking activity and an informative and interactive session by our guest speaker, Mr. Deepak Mundada.
Over the next couple of hours, Mr. Deepak Mundada created a safe and constructive space for all the participants to practice their communication skills, boost their confidence and receive feedback. The workshop emphasized the importance of body language and tone while communicating. He even engaged the youth in multiple group activities that taught us to convey our ideas clearly, collaborate and present ourselves confidently.
The experiential workshop encouraged the participants to step out of their comfort zones, take risks and practice new techniques. It also fostered a growth mindset and instilled the belief that effective communication is a skill that can be developed and refined over time. As a result, the workshop will serve as a foundation for future skill-building endeavors within the MPF Youth community.
