Overnight Picnic Event Summary (1st – 2nd February 2025)
The overnight picnic proved to be a grand success, fostering excellent bonding and engagement among all members. Held at a picturesque hill resort, the two-day event combined entertainment, relaxation, and formal proceedings, leaving participants with cherished memories.
The feedback from chapter members was overwhelmingly positive, with the Candlelight Dinner being highlighted as the most memorable and limelight moment of the event.
Event Highlights:
Warm Welcome – Families were greeted with a traditional “ukhana” and a heartwarming photo session featuring heart-shaped pillows on a beautifully decorated swing amidst scenic views.
Evening Festivities:
High Tea :
Members enjoyed a delightful spread of snacks and beverages to kickstart the evening.
DJ Night :
Themed “Red and White” as a Valentine special, couples embraced the vibrant atmosphere.
Couples rocked the floor dressed in “Red & White” for 2 hours of non-stop fun!!
Candlelight Dinner :
Couples made a grand entry to a beautifully arranged candlelight dinner, creating a delightful and intimate experience.
Antakshari :
After dinner, the excitement continued with six lively rounds of Antakshari, which all thoroughly enjoyed.
Late-Night Bonfire:
Members gathered around a cozy midnight bonfire, sharing stories and bonding.
A special treat of hot Maggie at 3:30 a.m. added to the night’s enjoyment.
Morning Activities:
The next morning commenced with a hearty breakfast.
Members enjoyed a refreshing rain dance and exhilarating water activities, adding a splash of excitement to the day.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Discussions focused on the year’s budget and the success of events conducted throughout the year.
President Mahesh Bagla appreciated directors’ contributions for all the events during the year and announced the next President, Prasad Bajaj.
Picnic Director Dipika Somani delivered a gracious vote of thanks to conclude the AGM.
Event Conclusion
The event concluded with a delightful lunch followed by check-out from the resort.
The overnight picnic was a remarkable success, filled with joy, meaningful connections, and a strong sense of community. The meticulous planning by the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of all members ensured an unforgettable experience.
