Event Picnic Katraj 2023-24
The New Year started with a bang at the MPF Katraj Picnic event, which was an overnight stay at Go Grazy Resort from January 6th, 2024, to January 7th, 2024.
The event commenced around 3 pm on January 6th, 2024, with a warm welcome for all the MPF Katraj family members, followed by the allocation of rooms to respective persons. After welcoming everyone, hi-tea was arranged to energize everyone for the upcoming events.
The evening kicked off with an intense game of Snake and Ladders. The oversized board sprawled across the picnic blanket created an atmosphere of friendly competition and nostalgia. Laughter echoed as players navigated the ups and downs of the game, taking turns with the dice, and celebrating victories or commiserating over unexpected snake encounters. The game brought out the inner child in everyone, fostering a sense of shared joy and excitement.
As the sun set, the picnic transformed into a mini musical DJ night with a choreographer, where a playlist ranging from nostalgic hits to the latest chart-toppers was played with dazzling lights.
No picnic is complete without a feast, which followed the DJ night.
After the feast, the group decided to play antakshari, which lasted for nearly 2-3 hours, and people started having cravings, so Maggi was prepared by committee members.
As everyone slept late, there was difficulty in waking them, so some members woke everyone up by playing loud music with the song “Subah subah jab khidaki khole.”
As everyone woke up and got freshened up to enjoy breakfast and all activities in the resort like zip line, musical chair, mini adventures, swimming, rock climbing, etc. These activities were enjoyed by eating hurda and sweet corn.
Following the activities, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held, which discussed all the events held in the year 2023-24. All the events directors and chairpersons were thanked for their services during the tenure.
The event ended with a wonderful and tasty lunch.
