Event Joy of Life Kothrud 2023-24
This event was conceptualized with the objective to promote the Joyful & Sustainable Lifestyle for MPF Members, their families, and the community at large while not losing our tradition.
“Teej Ka Sinjara” was the theme selected to keep the above objective in mind and to ensure highest involvement of women members as this theme is close of all Maheshwari women. This event was conducted along with Maheswari Mitra Mandal and Rajasthani Mahila Mandal, Kothrud.
Event date(20-Aug-2023, Sunday) was selected thoughtfully after Choti Teej so that it is not clashing with our festival and any other big event in Pune. As a result, more than 90+ members confirmed their registration before event and more families had attended the event which is nearly 80-85% of overall members. Event Place was Baba Ramdev Madir, MIT, Kothrud. Committee has invited Smt. And Shri BalKrishna Ji Karwa as jury to select the winners of the competition. Dy. Gov Mrs. Archana Mundada also join them as supporting Jury.
All members and their families were warm welcome by committee with decorated umbrella and traditional music (Dhol-Thalli). A cultural event based on traditional songs (Teej, Rajasthani, Savan, etc) was conducted by women members and their family. Fun filled competitions like Pinda Decoration, Best Dressed Male, Female and Couple were also there. Members have taken selfie and photographs on selfie corner. With welcome drink, mobile starters and delicious food members wish and stomach both were full at the fullest.
Teej cannot be celebrated without a beautiful Jhula and end with Pan so that was also arranged.
