Event Box Cricket League Central 2023-24
Central’s Box Cricket League was recently organized at Rajyog Lawns on 29th and 30th April 2023. This was the 7th edition of the Tournament. Title sponsor for the tournament were Evotech Business Solutions whereas Bajaj Finance was the Co-sponsor. Other sponsors were Plan Dreams Financial Solutions and IZHAAR. Shri Nitin Ji Nyati, Promoter Nyati Group and Shri Ravikumar ji Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, MIT University were the chief guests at the inauguration ceremony.
Total 12 male teams and 5 female teams participated in the tournament and almost 175 players registered and played their favourite game of cricket and bonded with each other. Pro-random Warriors won the male finals while Priya Pearls lifted the winner’s trophy in female edition. All the matches were live telecasted on the YouTube and were watched by almost 3000 people overalls.
A separate league for kids between 7 to 16 age group was organised on 23rd April 2023 at Wings Sports Academy and total 90 kids played in 9 teams. Kids teams were named after deities.
The Battle of Professional Committee of MPF Central pledged to donate an amount equal to the runs scored in the tournament for the cause of Gou Mata Seva. Further, trees equal to number of wickets fallen during the BCL tournament will also be planted by the organizing committee. Both these initiates were applauded by all as they were in line with the theme of MPF Central as announced by President Shri Omprakash Ji Marda – “A Journey Towards Culture and Commitment”.
Cloths donation drive was organized by the President’s Choice Committee in association with Robinhood Army and around 3500 piece of cloths were collected and handed over to the volunteers from Robinhood Army for further distribution to those in need. Further, an eye check-up camp was also organized by Joy of Life Committee in association with Dr. Agrawal’s Eye Clinic which was well appreciated by all.
