The MPF Pune East Board of Directors Installation Ceremony for 2025-26 was a grand celebration of leadership, tradition, and unity. Held on 13 April 2025 at CNS School, Hadapsar, the event saw over 250 members in attendance and was graced by the esteemed presence of Swami Brahmanishtananda, the founder president of Swami Chidananda World Peace Foundation. His spiritual guidance added a profound aura to the gathering.
The ceremony marked a significant occasion with Mr. Amol Pallod assuming the role of President, Mrs. Nitu Samdani as Secretary, Mr. Pushkar Bang as Treasurer, and Mrs. Jaya Mohata as President-Elect, along with 12 other distinguished members stepping into directorial roles. The event was themed around the majestic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Darbar and featured a vibrant cultural spectacle, including a grand entry procession with children carrying flags, traditional Dhol, Lezim, Lathi-Kathi performances, and a live Shankhnaad that resonated with the spirit of heritage.
The event began with the dignified rendition of the National Anthem, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Param Pujya Swamiji, alongside MFCT dignitaries and other chapter presidents. This symbolic gesture illuminated the path for the new board to lead with wisdom and integrity.
Hosts Mr. Shamsunder Bhattad and Dr. Kranti Birla brought the ceremony to life with their dramatic presentation, creating an immersive experience reminiscent of Shivaji Maharaj’s royal court. The new Board of Directors was introduced in a unique manner, accompanied by traditional “Ghoshana,” adding to the grandeur. Each director received a badge presented by their mothers or spouses, a touching moment that emphasized familial support and blessings.
Immediate Past President Mr. Rohit Mohta highlighted the chapter’s remarkable achievements in 2024-25, while incoming President Mr. Amol Pallod laid out an inspiring vision for the upcoming year under the theme “Bandhanam Sukhasya Saram – Bonding: The Essence of Happiness.” His speech emphasized the importance of unity, collaboration, and shared values as the foundation for success. The success of the event could not have been achieved without our Kids Committee, who engaged over 60+ children for the entire two and half hours. This allowed parents to attend the main ceremony without worrying about their kids, ensuring everyone enjoyed their time.
A spiritual highlight was Swamiji’s insightful message on leading a life of simplicity and purpose. His practical wisdom, including the transformative impact of practicing 300 seconds of yoga daily, left a lasting impression on attendees.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by President-Elect Mrs. Jaya Mohata, who credited the success of the ceremony to meticulous planning and teamwork. She acknowledged Chairman Sarveshwar Lakhotiya and the dedicated committee members for their unwavering support.
