Event Annual General Meeting Central 2023-24
The Annual General Meeting kicked off at 5:20 pm, opening with Ganesh Vandana and the National Anthem. The agenda commenced with the felicitation of Social and Professional achievers, a total of 12 individuals. Noteworthy was the shift of children’s achievements to the chapter level, with 16 children felicitated during the AGM.
A highlight of this year’s AGM was the introduction of the Knowledge Quest… Game of the Gems" quiz activity. Renowned Quiz Master Mr. Murli Pillai led seven teams, each named after Gems, through four engaging rounds covering topics like mythology, sports, and history.
Post-quiz, Treasurer Nilesh Saboo proposed the adoption of annual accounts for FY 2022-2023, unanimously approved by the members. Reappointment of CA Sumeet Daga as the internal control reviewer for FY 2023-2024 was also approved, with Mr. Saboo informing members about the GST applicability of Rs 766/- per member from FY 2024-2025 onwards.
The PR team project chairman updated members on financial aid to needy students and highlighted PR activities during the year. President-elect Mr. Atul Navandar shared feedback from members, categorizing suggestions and providing insights.
President Omprakash Marda, in his address, showcased the year’s achievements and outlined future plans. He proposed a fee increase of Rs 766/- for the next year to cover GST costs, gaining members’ approval. Secretary Pushpak Mundada expressed gratitude in his vote of thanks.
The meeting also covered updates on upcoming programs, Samvid and Mahesh Idol, along with insights into the quarterly magazine’s third-quarter content, presented by Mrs. Kirti Bajaj.
Observers Mr. Jagdish Karwa and Mrs. Arpita Mantri concluded the meeting with the announcement of Nominations Committee voting results. Concluding the formal proceedings, the stage was handed over to the Team Picnic for their planned activity at 7.45 pm.
