Event President’s Choice Katraj 2024-25

This time, the MPF Katraj President’s Choice Event was held on 14th July 2024, and the theme was trekking to Korigad.
The event started with group calls at 3:00 am to ensure everyone met on time for a smooth journey. Eager to embrace the tranquil morning atmosphere, our group assembled at Navale Bridge at 4:30 am for departure. We set off in three buses at 5:30 am. Along the way, we savored the local specialty, vada pav, which added a delightful culinary touch to our travels.
By 8:00 am, we arrived at Korigad, our starting point for the trek. Here, we refueled with energy-boosting drinks and enjoyed refreshing snacks during breaks, enhancing our experience and fortifying ourselves for the path ahead.
During the trek, beautiful waterfalls and serene nature captivated us. Finally, we reached the top of Korigad and took some wonderful pictures with nature.

After that, we had goosebumps during the SHIVGARJANA and our National Anthem led by Pratikji Kela. We then enjoyed some body relaxation activities. Although our feet were tired, we had to begin the return journey. At the bottom, we enjoyed Kanda Bhaji, had lunch with misal pav and thalipeeth, and some beverages.
This was a memorable journey for everyone, young and old. Even the children completed the entire trek.
As an extra activity, online competitions for MPF Katraj family members’ kids aged 4 to 15 years were conducted as part of the President’s Choice event to encourage the kids.
